Opera in October 2009
The annual Opera In October 09 trip to New York City! Sponsored by the Department of Music at Virginia Tech, the trip is for students and opera lovers of all ages. There are a limited number of spaces available so be sure and sign up early.
When: October 16-18, 2009
What operas: Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier starring Renée Fleming and Susan Graham and Giacomo Puccini's Tosca starring Karita Mattila and Marcello Álvarez
How much: Approximately $485 per person (double occupancy) Virginia Tech students will receive a discount. Cost includes transportation, hotel accommodations with breakfast, 2 opera tickets, backstage tour of the Met and 2 pre-trip lectures by Dr. Paul Zweifel

To reserve a space, a deposit of $200.00 (check made out to Treasurer, Virginia Tech) is due by September 4th to Tammy Henderson, 241B Squires. Seats reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis.
