Marching Virginians Announce Drum Majors for Upcoming Season
The Virginia Tech Music Department held auditions for the position of Drum Major of the Marching Virginians for the upcoming season on April 24, 2006. A total of 18 students auditioned for this prestigious student leadership position.
David McKee, director of the Marching Virginians, said, "the entire group was great, and we are delighted to announce that the winners are Stephen Shelburne and Jordan Booker."
Shelburne is a sophomore Music major from Christiansburg, Va. His high school band directors were Nikki Gross Springer and David Miller.
Booker is a sophomore Psychology/Biochemistry major from Roanoke, Va. His high school band director was Tim Galyen.
