Cowden Selected to Participate in Grant Writing Institute

Tracy Cowden, assistant professor of Music, has been named one of twelve College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences faculty members chosen to participate in the first VT Grant Writing Institute. Her research project will focus on engaging arts audiences and outreach programs surrounding arts activities.

Recipients will be mentored through the grant writing process. Participants will receive a $5,500 stipend and up to $1,000 for research expenses and attend eight workshop sessions from mid-May to Mid-June and two follow-up sessions in November and December. A ?Day in DC? will feature meetings with grant program officers and participants will be evaluated by a mock review panel.
