Tickets available for April 9 Symphonic Wind Ensemble performance in Carnegie Hall
The Virginia Tech Symphonic Wind Ensemble performs in Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. with three school bands and orchestras from across the country; the Virginia Tech Symphonic Wind Ensemble follows with an all-American program comprising the Overture to Candide by Leonard Bernstein, Memento by Travis J. Cross, the world premiere of Groovy Loops by Scott McKenzie ’94, and David Maslanka’s Symphony No. 4. This marks the ensemble’s first appearance at Carnegie Hall.
Tickets are available at the Carnegie Hall box office for $30, but discounted tickets are available through the Virginia Tech Student Centers and Activities ticket office for only $20. Orders are currently being accepted online at http://www.studentcenters.vt.edu/tickets/events.php; tickets will be mailed beginning March 18, 2013.
