The Virginia Tech Department of Music seeks an experienced Choral Conductor for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The primary responsibilities will be to conduct the choral ensembles at Virginia Tech, to be a visible student recruiter for the Department of Music, to support the vocal programs of the department, and to assist with music education methods in the vocal/choral area. An advanced degree in music together with demonstrated success in choral conducting at the college level is required. An earned doctorate or professional equivalent is preferred. The Virginia Tech Department of Music provides high-quality training to a select number of music majors, as well as ensembles and courses for a large number of non-music majors.
