Electronic Instrument
Any musical instrument where the sound is produced or modifyed by electronic means (electrophone). The two basic types of electronic instruments are:
- where the sound is produced by means of an acoustical instrument such as the violin and then altered electronically; and
- where the sound is produced electronically.
