Clapper

[Eng.]

  1. Object that loosely hangs inside a bell. This will then strike the bell from the inside when the bell is moved or rung, resulting in the sound.
  2. Percussion instruments that use two similar objects struck together. A few of the more known clappers include claves, castanets, slapstick, and cymbals. See also idiophone.
