Brief biography:	Marvin Hamlisch began studying at the Juilliard School of Music when he was seven years old. He wrote several hits during the 1960s, including Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows and California Nights. Wrote the suite Anatomy of Peace in 1991, which was performed in 1994 to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of D-Day. He has won four Grammys, three Oscars, two Emmys, a Tony, and 3 Golden Globes. Also won the Pulitzer Prize for A Chorus Line. He is currently the Principal Pops Conductor for both the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He currently resides in New York City.
