General description of Music 3144:

Intended for Music Majors who have completed Music Theory and the HAMS Sequence. Other students by permission of the Instructor.
Covers the development and notation of Medieval and Renaissance music, including the music theory as it was taught and used, through the transition into the early Baroque period.
Offered Spring Semester only.
Fulfills the University Writing-Intensive Requirement.
