Chamber Singers | Women's Chorale | Men's Chorus | Concert Choir | Symphonic Choir SYMPHONIC CHOIR The Symphonic Choir is a large mixed chorus comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from various degree programs. This ensemble joins the Blacksburg Master Chorale to perform major choral works with orchestra, including collaborations with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and the New River Valley Symphony Orchestra. Recent performances include Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Durufle’s Requiem, Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms, Pärt’s Te Deum, Bach’s Mass in B minor, and Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, as well as Verdi’s Macbeth with Opera Roanoke. The Symphonic Choir’s upcoming season features Bach’s Magnificat, Britten’s Saint Nicolas, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem with the New River Symphony Orchestra, and Beethoven’s Fidelio with Opera Roanoke. * Number of performers: 50-65
