Uploading Files to Your Website
FTP is the current method by which we provide upload access to hosted websites on www.music.vt.edu. If your network connection is behind a firewall, be sure to select the “passive mode” (PASV) setting in your FTP client.
A few suggested FTP client applications:
In addition, most website authoring programs such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive, Coda etc. also include built-in FTP capabilities.
Important: FTP is an insecure protocol so be sure to use a password that is NOT used for anything else. Do not use your VT PID password for this account.
