An exceptional duo, sought after the world over, now touring China with two great orchestras by its side: the Shanghai Sinfonietta Orchestra and the Wuhan Symphony Orchestra.  Since 1999 these two talents have received the highest praise for their recordings (Alkan, Liszt, Strauss, Bloch, Grieg, St-Saëns) made under the Harmonia Mundi label, receiving the Annual Golden Tuning Fork at the Cannes Classical Awards, the “Choc” award from Monde de la Musique and a rating of 10/10 from music magazine Classica.  In 2005, these two musicians – both winners at Victoire de la Musique - created the theatrical concert “le Block 15, la musique en résistance”. Directed by Jean Piat, this musical brought to the stage the story of two musicians saved by music during WWII and was performed throughout France and adapted for French television.  Emmanuelle Bertrand and Pascal Amoyel have both been named Knights of the Order of the Arts and Letters by the French Culture minister, in honour of their contribution to the promotion of French classical music.
