Music at Virginia Tech
Welcome to the Virginia Tech Department of Music website. The Department of Music offers undergraduate degree programs in performance, composition, education, and technology. Students at Virginia Tech study with distinguished performers, composers, and scholars, and attend concerts by internationally known visiting artists. The department features a variety of performing ensembles, both large and small, including orchestra, bands, choirs, and chamber ensembles. Our graduates are regularly accepted into the finest graduate programs in music, perform professionally throughout the United States, and include some of the finest music educators in the Commonwealth of Virginia and mid-Atlantic region.
