The Marching Virginians - The Spirit of Tech

During the 2008 season, the Marching Virginians will celebrate their thirty-fifth year of high-energy performances and exciting music to support the Hokies.

Since their creation in 1974, The Marching Virginians have performed for hundreds of nationally-televised football games and parades. The MVs have received numerous compliments for outstanding performances at Virginia Tech's recent bowl games, including the 2007 Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia, and the 2008 Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. In 2007, the band was also featured in an article in ESPN The Magazine.

The dedication, enthusiasm, and extraordinary talent of this ensemble have led the MVs to become known as a highly energetic and vocal part of Virginia Tech football. The Marching Virginians are proud of their reputation with fellow students, faculty, and fans as The Spirit of Tech!
